At Hele Valley we love making you and your family happy. Whilst you stay, we want you to be a part of our holiday park community and Ilfracombe’s too. That’s why we keep this page updated with all sorts of events, for adults and children alike. 

You’ll find fun goings on at Hele Valley and beyond, which you’re welcome to attend.

Woolacombe 10K Beach Run

Beat the beach! (Or just cheer on the runners!) 10km charity race on mixed terrain. Organised by the Compass Rotary Club of Ilfracombe

 The Forces March 2020 

The Forces March follows the route of a legendary and arduous WW2 training march from its start in Ilfracombe, through Exmoor, rural Somerset, over the Quantock Hills, across the Somerset Levels and then finally across Salisbury Plain to the finish at Bulford - a total of 135 miles!

 The Big Lunch

Fun, Food & Live Music! Starting at 1pm and continuing throughout the afternoon and into the evening, outside the Prince of Wales and the George and Dragon. There will be food, fun, and music from talented local performers. Everyone is welcome!

Grand Victorian & Steampunk Festival

Steampunk is attracting new interest and breathing new life and fun into the traditional week long celebration of Victorian Ilfracombe. Expect Suffragette marches, garden parties, live music, historical re-enactments and parades.

Ilfracombe Golf Club boasts one of the most spectacular locations in the UK for an exhilarating round of golf and every tee sets a new challenge for golfers of all abilities. Give it a go!

June – August 2020 

 Bands on the Band Stand

Every summer Ilfracombe presents a series of Sunday afternoon performances on The Bandstand in Runnymede Gardens on The Seafront in July and August, performances are from 2pm to 4pm and are free of charge.  There is some seating although some prefer to sit on the grass.

Goldcoast Oceanfest, Croyde

Oceanfest is a music festival that falls on World Surfing Day and the summer solstice, the longest day. Where better to be than on Croyde beach soaking up the atmosphere, the sea and the sun from dawn to dusk (or dawn).
