Hidden Gem

Great little park, third time we have stayed here. The pitch was an excellent size for the caravan, awning, and car. Very quiet and tranquil, well kept, and clean ablutions. This site is a great base to explore North Devon from, with a good child friendly pub just outside, serving good food. The coastal path is close, either by Combe Martin or Ilfracombe. Overall an excellent stay with friendly staff, and we will be returning, thank you!

Fantastic Campsite

We booked an electric, grass pitch for one week but ended up staying a little longer. Such a lovely campsite, really well maintained with helpful and friendly staff. The shower and toilet block was the best we have seen in a campsite and always kept clean. Very quiet and peaceful. The local shop was very well stocked and reasonably priced with great staff.

Fantastic Service

We only stayed for one night to go to a wedding but they couldn’t do enough for us. They let us pitch our tent early which was splendid as we didn’t have a great deal of time, and when we tried to get a taxi and couldn’t, the girls that worked there offered to take all eight of us in their own cars. They really went the extra mile for us and refused to take any money (although we did force it upon them). Thank you.

Definitely returning next year

Our second visit here this year and it was just as good as the first. The staff were very friendly with a great knowledge of the area. The site was very clean and well maintained, and there was plenty of room for our van and awning. Excellent toilet blocks too, which were cleaned several times a day. Definitely will be returning next year. Thanks to all the staff for making us welcome.

Great place for a break with the dog

We spent a lovely week away at Hele Valley in one of the doggy friendly caravans. From arrival it was clear that standards are high here, the caravan was spotless and the park very well kept! There's a dog friendly beach five minutes walk away and plenty of local dog friendly pubs to offer a variety of food options.

Love the area, always plenty to do and see and a week of sunshine always helps!

Peaceful Haven

We stayed in a Hele Valley lodge Sept/Oct 2019 and it was outstanding. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our stay with them so enjoyable. We were a bit unlucky with the weather, however there are so many places in and around North Devon and being able to see the high tides in Ilfracombe was pretty spectacular. Our accommodation was so very clean and comfortable and we will certainly be returning next year and bringing our grandson.

lundy

History of Lundy

Lundy is the largest island in the Bristol Channel. A granite outcrop, 3 miles long and ½ a mile wide, 12 miles (19 km) off the coast of North Devon. The name ‘Lundy’ may already be recognised as it’s the name of a shipping forecast area in the UK and Norse for ‘Puffin Island’.

Top 5 Reasons to Visit North Devon With Your Family This Year

England is home to 48 ceremonial counties and as a nation we have strong opinions about them. There are those we prefer, put it that way.

It’s all personal preference, sure. But some are undeniably prettier, greener, more dramatic, more everything than others. It’s just the way the geological cookie has crumbled over the last few million years. No changing it.
