Here at Hele Valley your four legged friends are very important to us and we want them to enjoy their time away from home as much as you do. We have several pet friendly accommodations available at Hele Valley as well as our dog friendly camping fields. This year we have also added a Dog Wash in our Camping Field, this is great for when you return from a fun walk on the beach with a smelly and sandy pooch.
We do ask that while you are staying with us that your dog is kept on a lead while walking about the Park, that you always pick up after your dog and that they do not enter the children's play areas or our nature trail, we also ask that your dog is not left alone in your accommodation and that they do not enter any other accommodations.

Local Dog Walks
For a nice short easy walk, from the reception, continue through our metal gates. Follow the pavement past the yellow house (no 3) and then turn immediately right into Cat Lane as signposted.
Follow the roadway up to the top of the hill, do not turn off until you arrive at a wooden gate, it has the acorn emblem on it. Follow this bridle path right through until you get to a further wooden gate. You will then enter the Farm Yard at Comym Farm. There is a gateway that you can enter to bring you back into our Holiday Park at the bottom of our camping field.
Do bare in mind this can be quite a muddy walk during wet periods, so welly boots are advised.
Another walk to try is go to the end of the Holiday Park, at the end of our camping field where you will come to a coded gate. Please leave via this gateway turning to the right and leaving the farmyard through there entrance.
This pretty walk will take you along the valley bottom, it is pleasantly wooded on one side, however you will be walking along a country lane. The walk will take you past Chambercombe Manor and up a short hill to a turning on the right hand side which again is marked with an acorn emblem that will return to the A377 road, along a pretty track. You can turn either left in the direction of Ilfracombe or right to return to the village of Hele and our Holiday Park.
It your dog's love to swim, the beach is very close by. Just take a short walk up to the main road, turn right and follow the pavement down to the garage. There cross the road into Beach Road and follow this down to enjoy our little smugglers cove beach.
For the more adventurous walker, at the beach to the left hand side you will notice some steps heading up the hill. This is a picturesque climb to the top of the Old Stone Age Fort and the views are spectacular. There are many different paths to follow, try them all, they all have something to offer.
Please note we never like to advise whether your dogs are on or off leads, this must be at your discretion and responsibility, but please ensure they are always on a lead whilst in the Holiday Park.
We also ask that you please remember to pick up after your pet's, to maintain the natural beauty and safety of our valley.
If for any reason you have forgotten your waste bags, we do have these located by the bins around the park or just pop into reception and ask for some.
We hope you enjoy our local walks, please don't hesitate to ask for any more suggestions.
