Hele Valley Nature Trail

Visit Hele Valley to experience the peace and tranquillity of this natural valley.

During the winter of 2007 / 2008 we developed a Nature trail which stretches along the top of the holiday park.

For about 20 years this area had been left to grow wild and a natural habitat for wildlife has developed which has encouraged an interesting variety of plants, insects, birds and animals.

With support from the North Devon AONB`s Sustainable Development Fund we have sympathetically cut a path through and have constructed a suitable pathway for our visitors to explore and understand the natural world.

The trail has interpretation signs along the way and with a Hele Valley quiz leaflet, collected from the reception, it is easy to understand natural habitats of local wildlife.

When the trail is more established we hope to invite experts to talk to us about specific species we might see such as moths, bats and mushrooms.

Following extensive research already achieved we are able to offer lots of information on a guided study. This study will be available to all our guests to explore and learn more about natural life in the countryside from 2009.

Join us at Hele Valley on our new nature trail for an eye opening natural experience.
