Hele Bay Beach - 7 minute walk from Hele Valley

Hele BeachSet in a small sheltered cove in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Hele Bay Beach is a part sand, part shingle beach and has been awarded the Blue Flag recognised for its safe clean waters. The Beach is popular with canoeists and perfect for families that don’t want an over crowded beach. There are numerous rock pools to explore with your fishing nets and secret smugglers caves to discover. Dogs are allowed in restricted areas. At very low tide it is possible to clamber around to ‘Fishing Rock’ and ‘Blythes Cove’.

Tunnel Beaches - Ilfracombe - 1 Mile

Tunnel BeachIlfracombe award winning beach and must see tourist attraction. A network of hand carved tunnels leading to unique sheltered beaches and a safe tidal Victorian bathing pool. Dogs allowed. Fun and fascinating for all ages.

Woolacombe Beach - 7 Miles

WoolacombeThis spectacular Blue flag beach boasts three miles of beautiful golden sand and voted as one of the world’s top ten beaches. Brilliant surf for learning or for the more experienced with daily lifeguard patrol. Excellent for body boarding or just bathing. Surf lessons and equipment hire available by the beach. Dogs allowed in restricted areas. A small village offers visitors a small range of gift shops, a few bars and restaurants.

Saunton Beach - 10 Miles

SauntonFive miles of golden sands stretch as far as the eye can see backed by the largest sand dune system in the UK from which many film crews and rock videos have been shot. Surf hire shop, surf lessons, beach shop, restaurant with outside balcony overlooking the stunning beach. Dogs allowed.

Croyde Bay Beach - 10 Miles

CroydeThis beach is the number one surfing beach in the country. Waves can get quite big so it’s usually the more experienced surfers that ride the waves here. Beach lifeguards patrol the beach all day. The pretty thatched village of Croyde sits behind the beach and offers visitors an insight into the charms of a traditional Devon.
